Boscombe Pier Project: Boscombe, April 2007

A specific challenge to Three Cross Demolition was due to the fact that everything had to carried out from on the water not from the pier itself. Our High Reach machine was loaded onto a barge at Poole Quay and towed to Boscombe Pier and then transferred to a jack-up barge, which was the manouvered into position adjacent the pier so demolition of the building structures could take place. All waste material had to be transferred into skips which were again floated in by barge and off loaded at Poole Quay for safe disposal.
